TEETER

Teeter is my maternal surname.  It is also the name of my DAR patriot.  Various spellings include Teetor, Dieter, Deeter and Detrich. Abraham Teeter {Deeter} it is believed he is the son of Johannes Micheal Detrick and unknown Miller,  born 1748 in Franklin PA., and died January 1827 / 1829 in Woodbury Twp. Bedford Co. Pa.  descendents of Abraham still live in the Texas Corner / Morrison Cove area of Bedford County PA.  It is believed the name was of Dutch origin.
